A Lady in a Window
A short time agoe ,there was a vibrant Lady ,who used to look in Windows; - Jewelers; Antique shops;Charity Shops and Empty Houses . Always, with a curiosity on what was on the other side
Many times she would enter and try on this or that, Jewelry in particular. The man in her life would add to her collection via his many journey's, around the World. Princess Ring from Thailand; Ruby from Viet -Nam, on and on. Unfortunetly a person she took in,stole most of them, selling for drug's. The woman was never charged. That was our Lady in a Window.
Along life's way she brought joy and happiness to everyone she met, always giving the benefit of the dought to the doughtful.
As a wife and mother through to great grand mother .(The last one not yet met !) she was both kind and forgiving. Showing them the beauty of the World. The flowers, the trees, birds and animals, with families of their own, yes even snakes and spiders.
She was, this Lady in a Window, married to a dutiful husband, sometimes impossible in that he was protective in the extreme. --It was always ":Swords or Pistols" too anyone who thought this kind LADY was an easy target, for adverse comment .Taken aback at first , then they realised, the husband was serious in intent., useually apollogising, the for comment's made.
Then one day that husband noticed a change of character and thinking. Along came the disaster of a double medical hit to the body. Emergency to Hospital and intensive care to repair her body. The mind was haltering her mind and thinking, plus shaking, frightened of certain people and things like telephone calls and people seeing her as she is,.all this will take some time to repair , if ever.
A 'Lady in a Window' looking OUT, sometimes very early in the morning-Alone, we must wonder what she is thinking. All we know is---- "The Longest Hour, it is the Hour before the Dawning, when with God's good Grace, Turns night into Morning".
We can only pray the she will come back to us and that impossible husband can continue, being the impossible protective , life friend.
