English by birth, Australian resident by choice. Born 22 August 1935. Childhood ailments of Mastoid and Polio, nurtured a determined mind to achieve, in spite of these early physical weaknesses.
Onward through school, technical college and university, culminating with The Graduate School of Thermodynamics and related studies at The University of Birmingham. Not exactly an academic, rather a practical Mechanical engineer. Initially in Heavy Engineering - Centrifugal Compressors for refrigeration, steal, Mining and Nuclear industries. In the main trained at the British Motor Corporation, UK, centering on design, service and sales (trucks and military vehicles).
Traveled Internationally in over seventy Countries, meeting many people around this World of ours, good and true people, I might add.
In Australia , Motor Industry & Construction industry plus my own security consultancy and equipment company, which I termed 'The Passive Side of Violence'. This and three incidents in aircraft and a number of nasty little experiences in Manila, Hong Kong and Saigon grew my interest in international security, particularly the transport sector. Papers, letters and inputs into incidents, the major one being Lockerbie. All I hope to blog in due course.
All along, developing my Humanitarian work and subjects relating, as the cases called, with my 'Letters of Hope'.
At 73, August 2008 a good life, wife and family. Now the final journey, talking to the World, where and when I can.
