I have chosen the title INOPERATIVE - Anti-terrorist Measures, because that is exactly what we have all got to do -Make them inoperative and isolated. I have my North American Talking Stick, next to my laptop, thus I am asking you all to listen (read) my blog as best you can.
I am writing my ideas and strateges here, because its getting a little boring to see and hear Presidents; Prime Ministers and the like, wittering on about those "Naughty Boys' known as the Islamic State(ISIS) going around maiming and killing people most brutally, in Syria and Iraq. There are others of course, all with varying levels of brutality. The two American journalist recently slaughtered have grieving parents relatives and friends and we are all in tune with them. There is of course another Mum and Dad who must be heartbroken, that, that lovely baby boy, should become such a violent person- They must ask what did they do wrong ? for him to become like this. Oh dear. Looking at the picture, I just wonder if he was an animal slaughterer, in the Muslim way. See my blog Animals for Slaughter 16 October 2012- Maybe we should look for a or a butchers son, Mr Policeman.
All condemnation (rightly) is shouted at the killing of journalists and civilians. The only reaction so far, is to "Evaporate" with missile explosives, some "Naughty Boys" and a number of innocent men women and children - collateral damage they say.
Well ladies and gentlemen, this blog is about to lay down strategies and plans for the elimination of the "Naughty Boys". So why do I call them "Naughty Boys".----- When we were kids, naughty boys, loved to ride on the back of trucks and tractors and given the chance, shoot at rabbits with slings (catapaults) and airguns. This naughty boy got a hiding, for shooting a Bee in half. Not a bad shot really - When 'Up Close and Personal', which is exactly what terrorists do and I have said this many times in my writing.
A little bit more of preamble, before the main events. I am looking at The Weekly Guardian vol 191 number 12. 29 August to 4 September 2014. Front Page has a photo of two ISIS terrorists, with fingers in the air. Both clean laundered clothing; new braiding and is it body armor, with new radio.. It has all the Hall -marks of a studio publicity shoot , compete with nice green shrubs. Most offensive Weekly Guardian especially when I write to you, on my blogs and work to make a better World, you are silent. Policeman again please note, sleeves rolled up and a near Paisley head gear - hallmarks of a European,in a hot country.

Part one.----
What are the ISIS, I will re- name 'IS', "Naughty Boys". They have NEEDS, to run around Maiming and Killing people -- Good people of all faiths and some of no faith at all.
the main ones are-----
(a) Food.
(b) Vehicles
(c) Fuel
(d) Ordinance
(e) Communication equipment
(X) Ideology
(a) Food ---- All people need, food and fluid each day if they can get it. 'IS' and other terrorist groups
rely, not only on supplies from their base camps, but also from unfortunate people in small villages and towns, which are pillaged and destroyed many times.
Through the UN and many other agencies, food and water is delivered by Sea;Land and Air drops. All good humanitarian work and if a little water lands by mistake onto 'IS' location , its a pity, but I don't think anyone would deny "Mad Rabid Dogs a drink" before being dealt with humainly.
I conclude here that to make 'IS' and other terrorist groups Inoperative by food denial, is difficult as they are so mobile - For the moment, as you will see.
(b) Vehicles ---"IS" and the like rely heavily on mobility of any kind. Trucks , Personnel carriers; Tanks and in other parts of the World, Horses. Used in the past by armies of all kinds. This is particularly relevant in areas of long distances and open space, roads or not.
As a Motor Industry man around the World nearly all my life, I know thing or two about Manufacture and Distribution Internationally -- so lets begin.
First the vehicles and tanks left by, in the main,, American military when they exited Iraq . This was a singularly irresponsible thing to do, by this throw away nation. All of the equipment was sophisticated and of top quality and requires top class maintainance, to keep them going. We must hope that in rebel hands, they
quickly deteriorate and stop, making them INOPERATIVE.
Secondly, the 4x4 and 2x4 utes light and heavier truck's, are the essential equipment of terrorists who require mobility, in carrying personnel and armaments, quickly, in and out of areas where they carry out their terrible operations of killing and maiming, all people who refuse or appear to refuse, their Ideologies.
As we all know , this applies, in such Countries such as Nigeria, Sudan etc
It is very clear from news reels from all areas, that the preferred make is TOYOTA and as we clearly see, a lot of them are new vehicles. How do they get them and from where, more to the point how do we stop the flow of vehicles, their spare parts like filters, batteries and fluids, plus in these rough terrians - Tyres.
I have raised the question of the silence of Japanese manufactures on matters of their distribution routes of supply before. I have raised the same question of all manufacturers worldwide and sent copies to Presidents and heads of state.
OK. All Manufacturers of vehicles worldwide, know exactly what models are going where, for up to at least 95% of their journey, plus parts. I know this because I was a manufactures representative and executive around the World. If we needed to find a vehicle we could, Gwelo or N'Manga or anywhere. I also instigated fleet registers Globaly, civil and ,military (a little scary at times). All in the good cause of service in case of fault campaigns.
TOYOTA - You have got to stop the nonsense of silence on vehicle distribution . You know exactly where your vehicles are going, right up to the final purchaser or damn well close. UN and all nations must come down on Japan and get TOYOTA and others involved in getting terrorists INOPERATIVE in the mobility area and very quickly, as without parts and service back-up the vehicles deteriorate and stop quite rapidly, which will save many lives and make the terrorist very very vunerable.
(c) Fuel - Without fuel of all kinds, Petrol; Diesel, and Gas, vehicles are going nowhere. We all learnt that with our first motor cycle or car, when we tried to stretch that precious gallon, but to no avail. My first experience was at the time of the Suez Crisis, when we were rationed severely and so we must restrict access to fuel and oils and fluids, to terrorists of all forms. Particularly people like "IS" who have to travel long distances to hit their targets.
I wonder who remembers Rommel and his Panzer divisions in north Africa, in the second world war. This great military strategist, was stopped in his tracks, when Hitler decided to switch the game to the Balkan's . Montgomery and the allies simply moved forward and it was all over for Rommel and so if the World does it right, so will "IS" etc be stopped in their tracks and the Kurds, Iraqies and allies simply do their thing.
FUEL - Restrict access, now, even if it means, no fuel for a while for everyone else. Fuel companies action please, plus a few Tanker destruction tactics from our US friends if tankers attempt to leave base.
(d) Ordinance - I'm afraid I know little of the flow of Gun s and ammunition. Only one experience I had in the eighties when I was asked to procure 25,000 rounds of 7.62 ammunition. I thought, how do I do that, so I had a look and my goodness it was so easy. The suppliers did every thing, shipping and trans-shipping to destination and arranged payment. I destroyed the paperwork and said no thank you. I never knew the destination.
All I really know is that arms can be arranged from any country, to any country, via a third country,as what happened with Rwanda. Memories, oh dear, Rwanda with its Australian; UK; French; Bulgarian involveme nt and who know what others players were involved .there was that mobile office with those filing cabinets and the Balkans were awash with small arms. It was all very interesting and in those days you could actually speak to the Security Organisations and Federal Police.
The World authorities must do every thing possible to stop the flow of arms of all kinds, plus collect all none exploded shells, which come in handy for road side bombs etc. Not my subject so I will leave it alone.
(e) Communication Equipment- Communications systems play a big roll, in groups constantly on the move, as are terrorists. They also play a big roll, with the people locating them - end of story from me .
(X) Ideology - There are Ideologists of all kinds as there are fundamentalists of all kinds. The Crusaders of past centuries, charging about pillaging and killing people in the name of Christianity, led by a brutal King in brutal times. Nasty Regimes of all kinds have in the past and up to this very day dominate and subject their people to terrible misjustages. The list is long.
Right now we have particularly violent organisation, known variously as ISIS; Islamic Sate and "IS" and running parallel are a number other well known International groups such a Mujehadin Talaban and Al Qaeda. There is quite a list, "IS" is the wickedest of them all and the World must deal with them.
All religions have their extremists be they Christian; Jew; Hindu; Buddist et al, plus people with no religion at all, just nasty people.
Ideology - powerful word used by powerful people for good and bad. In "IS" case, an extreme example.
Part Two -- Future Strateges
As a motor industry man I have talked about what terrorists and in particular "IS",needs are, to operate in the enviroment of open spaces and distances - quickly.
This blog is all about the word "INOPERATIVE" which, runs on the back of the good old system known as CONTAINMENT and as friends know, I have always worked and endeavoured on 'The Passive Side of Violence', so lets look to future strategies, that are non- violent to make "IS" and others Inoperative.
Part 1 , gave, what we can do now.
Part 2 . Gives what we can do in the future.
Here we go--------- All vehicles, civil and military, must be fitted with TOTAL shutdown capability in two ways.
(a) All vehicles, must be able to be made 'Inoperable' by use of the now sophisticated key fob, used by motor manufacturers, with the added capability of shutdown of lights, radios, ie all systems.
When operators of vehicles, hav e to abanden them, they can press a third (shielded) button to totally immobilise the vehicle- which also destroys the key fob when pressed, say three times.
(b) This applies to military vehicles and is in addition to (a)

(2) Plus, units to be fitted with 'Isolating' systems, that make the vehicle inoperative, when passed over by aircraft or satyllite location. -- I know you clever people out there can do it.
INOPERATIVE ---------- A most powerful word and thats what we are go to make "IS" and others.

Aircraft Missing - An Integrated Electronic Search System
Observing the difficulties experienced with the search for the Malaysian flight MH370, it was and is very evident, that when an aircraft's electronic and electrical systems are interfered with, by forces known or unknown, The current search procedures and systems are unsatisfactory.
I published my blog MH370 Tragically Mort April 6 2014, where I have endeavoured to highlight the whole scenairo, of Aircraft; Civil and Defence Radar systems and the incredibly expensive search procedures used. I now will take you on a journey into the possibility of turning the whole search protocol's upside down and I introduce the two words "Match Specific", which I hope we will keep in mind through out this story.
I keep harping back to Lockerbie and for the very good reason, that the events following take off of the Pam Am flight 103 and MH370, were to my mind very similar. Both were Boeing of the latest design for the period; both had conventional pilot hand controls;both were powered by Rolls Royce engines (four for 103 and two for MH370- different sizes of course, designed by the same company procedures.) and most importantly both flown by dedicated highly trained pilots.
Before we get down to the serious stuff, I must repeat my statements made, previously - My blog's are stories based on facts as I remember them- Because the other day a fello I know, a good ,man and true,said 'I have read your blog and it seemed all over the place, like the way you speak, your mind racing ahead' and that racing mind took me back when a quite high ranking chap from a Police HQ, said Mason , when we get reports and comments, where the i before the e can change in a paragraph and other idiosyncrasies it confirms it was from you and that was in the seventies or was the sixties, long gone now of course. Read on.
The pilots are interesting, both dedicated men as were their co-pilots I expect. Both rather cavalier, The Pan- Am one by general reputation, Sky Masters or something. Remember the story I told of the one on approaching Saigon in a 707. The pilot said due to problems around the area, we will make a steep approach and have you on the ground shortly. By golly he did, head down first, then head up and bang we were on the ground . He waved to us as we walked to the terminal, nineteen sixty something.
Not too long agoe Patricia and I on the way to Paris, we had a stopover in Panang. On the late flight from Kuala Lumpur the aircraft was going far far too fast for my liking and vibrating, I called an attendant to ask the pilot to slow down, she came back and said all is well,we are making up time to Penang. Not good I thought.As luck would have it ,in those days, as we were getting into the Orchid Hotel car, I noticed the crew boarding a minibus. I approached and spoke to them, not the pilot though and said please note that I had read a report that this aircraft with I think GE engines,where the engines if run at over speed during flight,
there had been cases of turbine blade failure. Please read the bulletin's.
One last word before the main event. When the fly by wire and centre stick hand control was being programed and refined, I was asked what I thought -goodness know's why- My reply was clear 'Retrain pilots to the new system, but never ever let them switch between hand control's. That is ,once on centre stick, thats it'. As the new generation of pilots come along, it will be all centre stick and all will be well. Of course that was not implimented and accident's did happen and will continue, in my humble opinion.
I have my Talking stick to hand, by the computor, hopefully to ensure your attention and respect for my point of view.

"Match Specific" are the key word's I will use to explain the system and word picture of the equipment.
Essentially there are two main items.
1. Electronic signal reflector,which is inert in that it has no electrical circuits of any kind, ie not battery powered. It is within or attached to, the 'Black Box'. More radically, the reflector could be the main case housing the Aircraft Control and Voice Recorders,the so called 'Black Box', orange in colour. In turn the reflector, could be suspended within a frame, like a tradesman's generator.
2. A very powerful Electronic Transmitter/ Receiver, which is "Match Specific" perfectly to the Signal reflector.
These two items will have been developed as an integrated sytem. One on land or in water, fresh or salt and the second in the air on an aircraft or on the sea aboard a ship, where there is all the power necessary for the adequate performance of the whole.
"Electronic Signal Reflector".
The reflector to be spherical of Geodetic form. Material High carbon steel, with Parabolic reflectors filling the lattice. I at first thought just Concave reflectors, but a friend- another Birmingham Graduate School of Thermodynamic's man, a year behind me, suggested Parabolic - Good idea David.
Depleted Uranium comes in here somewhere.
Thus, if the final design is a sphere of geodetic design and housing the 'Black box' we would have a Reflector active at any angle or position. With a powerful enough Electronic Transmitter/Reciever and when in range
would make the Signal Reflector "Sparkle" electronically------ Got Him.

Whether on an Aircraft or Ship.we will have all the power deemed necessary to make the equipment effective and definitive in the search for a missing Aircraft, such as MH370 and others before it.
The specification is quite simple. The creation of this "Integrated Electronic Search System", could be a little more lateral thinking in it's design; development and manufacture.
(a) Electronically tuned to the "Electronic Signal Reflector"
(b) Pulse powerful to 6 klm's above possible location of the reflector ie above seabed or ground.
(c) 300 degree circle at say 13 degree's angle and pulsing from the centre to the periphery.
(d) I would have thought very low frequency and out of the ranges of Radio band,s; Radar; And Micro wave HF's. Of course out of the low frequency of Whales in water and Elephants on land. (Not silly really)
(e) The effect of this system of matched units, is that when the 'Electronic Transmitter" comes within the circle, the pulsing electronic burst's will via the Parabolic reflectors, make the system Electronically "Sparkle".
This equipment best tuned to work on a Fast Patrol Boat and/or a slow as possible turbo- prop surveillance aircraft.
I hope that some clever people out there, will seize on my specification for a "Aircraft Missing - An Integrated Search System".

'The Beauty of the World'
In my life of seventy eight years, two poems have been a source of inspiration and encouragement to me. Both are of Love and Devotion in pursuit of Happiness and Achievement and as in life there is a mixture of Success and Failure.
The first and a very famous poem for both it's content and length.
'The Nightingale and the Rose' by Oscar Wilde . It draws on the extent to which a young man will go to impress a young lady and we all know about how that felt, don't we gentlemen.
The main event in this blog or story is a poem 'The Beauty of the World' by the late Denis Kevans, known as Australia's Poet Lorikeet. ( for the none Australian the Lorikeet is a small multi-coloured Parrot). Long long before I met Denis at his home in Wentworth Falls in the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney, he was Internationally known for his poetry on protests of all kinds. The massive anti- Viet Nam rallies; the Rain forest anti logging protests and many more.
Denis composed the music and lyrics for his songs, but sadly as he told me once, he never made money from them as the rights or whatever were taken and registered by, I think he said a Heavy Metal Rock Group led by a Peter Garrett. Who really knows?, as Denis died some years agoe and I moved to the south coast. No, hang on. I once attended a poetry ready at the Parikeet Cafe in Katomba and I was invited to read 'The Beauty of the World', in front an audience which included Champion Bush Poets --- they appluaded, goodness me. Then again at our daughter Samantha,s friend,s, wedding and I hope Christine and Kevin remembers it still.
I think Denis wrote the poem for his daughter, however, I think, it is really for any Wife; Daughter; lady Partner and or friend.
The Beauty of the World.
I saw the beauty of the world,
The fists of diamonds fall,
Where water jumped the gleaming rock,
High on the mountain wall;
They sparkled in the dazzling sun,
As down the wind they blew,
I saw the beauty of the world,
But all I saw was you.
The honeyeater stretched her tongue
In the fluted crimson flower,
Her painted feathers rippling
In the thirsting midday hour;
She stole her children's honey,
And she sipped the blossom-dew,

Where the golden whistlers melody
In idle gladness rings;

I once attended a poetry ready at the Parikeet Cafe in Katomba and I was invited to read 'The Beauty of the World', in front an audience which included Champion Bush Poets --- they appluaded, goodness me. Then again at our daughter Samantha,s friend,s, wedding and I hope Christine and Kevin remembers it still.
I think Denis wrote the poem for his daughter, however, I think, it is really for any Wife; Daughter; lady Partner and or friend.
The Beauty of the World.
I saw the beauty of the world,
The fists of diamonds fall,
Where water jumped the gleaming rock,
High on the mountain wall;
They sparkled in the dazzling sun,
As down the wind they blew,
I saw the beauty of the world,
But all I saw was you.
The honeyeater stretched her tongue
In the fluted crimson flower,
Her painted feathers rippling
In the thirsting midday hour;
She stole her children's honey,
And she sipped the blossom-dew,

Flight MH370 Tragically Mort
This is a most difficult blog to write, as it will include life's experiences; projects and facts undisputed. So I have decided to say it is a 'Story based on Facts'.
We all know the beginning of this story, when the World was told that a Malaysian flight MH370 had gone off radar, four hours out of Kuala Lumpur bound for Beijing. I remember thinking the route would have been over Vietnam and it took me back to the sixties when civil aircraft would fly over during the Vietnam conflict. A British Airways flight was one,where pilot said, don't be alarmed ladies and gentlemen, we have company on the right side of the aircraft- Just an American fighter, come to check us out - then he was gone.
The next thing I heard, was that all communication with MH370 had been cut and later it was thought the aircraft had turned left ---- that did it. I was then fully awake at 78 and alarm bell's rang and sleep eluded me for some time. My mind had shifted back quite along time agoe when I had written papers and reports on this kind of event --first things first.
Next came the report that two young men had boarded the flight with passports not their own. Interesting in that the actual passports were the genuine article. It was the passenger who fitted the document and not the other way round, this is in this day of computor imaging and comparing, the international syndicates are able to quickly identify a genuine passport with its client, or near enough with little alteration to the clients face.
How these two chaps thought they could get their very near look alike features past Chinese and European Immigration I don't know. The question still remains in my mind - did they indeed intend completing their journey to Europe.
Before I forget. This story was started 30 March 2014. On the 30 March 1944 the bombing of Nuremburg took place. Lancaster Bombers were the main force and Ninety Seven planes were lost with their crews , a sad day for all the families of those brave men -- Pilots and crews, dedicated every one.
In the fifties at Technical College we had two mature students, both RAF men. One who became our mature leader,if you will, was one Stanley Arthurs. Stan was a rather disturbed but very kind man, who had a scar from one ear the the other. He had been a Lancaster Pilot who I was told got his aircraft back dispite his injuries for one last time, how many sorties I know not or wether it was Nuremburg or Dresden. ------ Pilots are dedicated people, every one, some a little maverick of course.
Here comes the emmbarasing part of my story. All through my life I have rarely contacted the mainstream media, always addressing my thoughts direct with the authorities concerned , I have broadcast documentries on public radio but not main stream. Oh dear------ All the TV stations showed a two engined aircraft for the 777-200. somehow I had envisioned a stretched 747, which aligned with past insidents of the MH370 kind.
On reading my favourite paper The Guardian Weekly page 3 vol190 no14, 14-20 March 2014, there was a picture of a Asean TV screen indicating the news and on the side was a diagram of a Four engined plane. Something is wrong,very wrong, my mind kept going back to Lockerbie and others.
I decided to telephone ABC TV newsroom in Sydney to clarify matters. An answering machine, as ever I thought, so I emailed and I quote''' You consistantly show a two engined aircraft on the news background screen and two engined aircraft moving on the ground (archival). The aircraft on that fateful flight was a Boeing 777-200 a four engine plane and the upgrade of the old 747, the plane was rather old machine and vunerable to all sorts of interference I believe.You may like to check, it is a genuine mistake or an instruction.'''.
And an answer came directed in a way unexpected and I think the same was written with a computor not so far. T'was a senior man who wrote it and verbatum I will quote it ''''Hi Malcolm, sorry to disagree but every image I've seen of the Boeing 777-200, including the actual missing aircraft is of two engined planes. Check for yourself on Google. What could I say, my mind was on the past.
I did of course check out my favorite provider and in embarasment hid from view, for aday or two.
Before I get down to the real serious stuff, I should tell you about my adventures in Air Incident Land when I travelled in the sixties and seventies World Wide usually first class. Just a simple list.
Air India - Engine on fire. - India - 707?. 1960,s.
Air France - Shudder and nearly off runway - Caravelle. HK.
Philipine Airways - Spun on runway landing - Manila.
Uruguay Air - Forced to land on military airbase BunosAiries, our plane on wrong flight path. We were bused across city to waiting AirCanada for Mexico.
Qantas - Lost rudder control due oil leak. 707 Sydney to London, me for West Indies. 1972?.
There were numerous incidents Civil and Military, including interrogation by the Viet- Cong in Saigon, since visted and reconciled my experience.
OK - Here we go-----------------------
The most up to date aircraft are, what is known as the 'Fly by Wire' or what I prefer to call 'Fly by Computor' . That is say the pilot sends a signal to his control system and the computors act on the input. The most Pure Breed aircraft series is the Airbus, from the small to the mighty A380. In the simplest terms the plane is steered not with the old 'Joy Stick', but single column at the pilots right in the centre of the cockpit.
The pilot simply adjusts the column or handle or stick, can take his/her hand off and the computors do the work of converting the signal though the system to the mechanical parts of the plane, flaps-rudder etc.
This required intensive training of pilots and really without the absolute mental concentration of a fully trained 'Fly by Wire' pilot, there is no hope of flying the aircraft. If you are still with me. It is my opinion that this breed of aircraft, if taken over by terrorists, they would not a able to fly it ,or at least aim the damn thing.
Americans will not like this, but if the three planes in 2001 were pure 'Fly by Wire', 911 could not have happened.
Whilst on New York US, Airways flight 1549 pilot- Captain Sully Sullenberger which was ditched successfully in the Hudson river, was an Airbus A320-214 and it did not sink and all on board saved.
Now to the Google search, advised by Australias ABC TV news, Sydney boss.
Typed in Boeing 777-200, pressed the search button and there it was a Two Engined aircraft, pages and pages of it, so I decided to run the Wekipedia take, all twenty four pages of it. What revealing story it made -to me at least.
The aircraft in more detail was a 777-200ER , registered 9M-MRO, belonging to Malaysian Airlines on flight Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, with 227 passengers and 12 crew. The aircraft is indeed a very modern one with new construction materials plus fibre optics in its systems.
All seemed ok but didn't clear my initial confusion. Then came page 7 of 24. 'Fly by Wire' and I quote from this document -- "In designing the 777 as its first 'Fly by Wire' commercial aircraft, Boeing decided to retain conventional control yokes, rather than change to sidestick controlllers, as used by many 'Fly by Wire' fighter aircraft and in many Airbus airliners". end of quote. In my opinion the 777 is a Hybrid, in that it is not a pure 'Fly by Wire' systemed aircraft, but Boeings choice.
So, we really do have an aircraft, capable of being flown for a short distance by none licienced or none qualified people, once in the air, that is and not intended to land on a runway.---- and so ends my original confusion, so admireably cleared by the good people of ABC TV news , Sydney.
I have spoken about the Airbus and the Hudson River, now about the Airbus 380 Qantas flight QF32 coming out of Changi Airport , Singapore. Engine number two exploded and delt with by another extraordinary pilot, one Richard De Crespigny and crew ( all detail in his book QF32). This chap is a died in the wool 'Fly by Wire' enthusiast and for some reason gives the impression that Rolls Royce, can do no bad . Anyway, he like Sully Sullenberger, got all to safety(book-Highest Duty) and we thank them for their dedication to duty, as I am certain the MH370 Captain would do the same.
My Lockerbie submmision at the time was accepted through Prime Minister Tatchers office, by the investigating teams but not acted upon, as the US had its own agenda. I was helped by a Qantas 747 pilot, now deceased. I will let it stay forgotten, together with my papers on Airport protection - Anti Terrorist and A passengers guide. There were others including The death of Princess Diana and other matters and the Think series published also, as a blog.
Rolls Royce - An aside really - BUT - I must say in most of the incidents I have seen, the name Rolls Royce pops up with failures due to Ice, or fuel lines and equipment. The most frightening to me, was when Captain De Grespigny could not shut the engine down. The computor reacted NO and kept speeding the unit up - I hope they fixed that one- Stop a spinning disc, lob great quantities of foam or fibre glass batts, as in roof insulation, in the intake. Works great in armour plating to jam a cutting saw. Rolls Royce, I don't knmow these days -My opinion only of course.

Flight MH370 bound for Beijing , last control tower contact, we are told was at 06-55-15N by 103-34-43E I think about 1.2 hours out of KL over the South China Sea. They said fours hours no contact and turning to Port, just like Pam-Am was about to, for the Atlantic.
Whether flown by official crew or by Hi-Jackers, we had an aircraft going somewhere or nowhere.
What have we got?.
1.No response from any ground radar, civil or military ie no fighter jets scambled.
2. No response from any airborn aircraft, in this busy area with their forward radar.
3.The Satelite people in London , gave ideas, but even the CEO was not certain the info was MH370.
4.No ground reports of wreckage in SEA ie Cambodia; Viet-Nam; Thailand; Indonesia etc.
5.No indication of hostile non transmitting aircraft by Commercial or Military installations ie Border protection and certainly no fighter or fighter bombers up and intercepting.
6.All countries spend billion s of dollars on equipment and planes - Could it be bad management by top brass?.
7.The oceans and seas are full of debrie, from dead animals/fish to containers and sunken vessels, plus of course sonic repeaters; cables et al.
Nearly there. We have seen the reaction of Chinese relatives and freinds to the bad news. The pilot of MH370 or any Hi- Jacker, would have been in deep trouble if the passengers thought some thing was wrong and could have ditched early. Therefore the the South China sea should not be ruled out entirely.
With all the attention given by so many and so much money being spent, one wonders what is in the hold of MH370
I HOPE that from this terrible experience, we can learn something about life and the part we play in it. For the families and friends of the 329 people who died, here is a poem or prayer I have. Paranoia; Piracy and Punishment
I have discussed in my writings to international entities and my blog http://thinktrue2008.blodspot.com, the subject of people endevouring to reach Australia without visas. They are generally characterised as Refugees/ Asylum seekers or Migrants, from tyranny and or economic disasters.
Until we actually meet them we don't know if they; are Doctors;Dentists;Engineers at all levels;electronic experts of all kinds, the list is long. What I do know is that they seek our help and as Pope Francis recently said, in words to the effect - We should welcome all people risking life and limb to reach the shores of the free and should be treated as Immigrants. Good words I believe.
Oh how I wish I was a writer like good old Winston Churchill, who was the master of the written word. Then I would be able to write this blog concisely and to the point and to get my message through to all concerned. Here goes and I start off with my definitions of the words Paranoia; Piracy and Punishment and fit in the aspirations and actions of those people responsible for what they call Border Security.
Paranoia. - A chronic mental derangement, characterised by systemised delusions, conditioned by numerous factors including the power of suggestion or perception.
Piracy. - Any Plunder; Robbery or interference on the high seas, by an armed ship or vessel and its personnel, which takes takes the property or personnel of another ship or vessel.
Punishment - To inflict a penalty on; to castigate and cause suffering on a person or persons, known and unknown for a perceived offence of any kind.
PARANOIA is difficult one to define isn't it, as mental problems always are. In the Australian government case I refer to its Prime Ministers inability to get away from the word 'Illegal' and the words 'Stop the boats' at any cost it would seem and by golly the money spent on Navy vessels and military and civil personnel must be enormous. I wish I could cost it out at $ per hour per refugee.
Over and over again they say 'No one coming by sea will be allowed to enter Australia', where I assume they mean without a visa. They do not care who they are or what they are and what they could do for this country. How they expect anyone is a war zone or tyranny could get to a Consulate, queue up and apply for a visa etc,defies me. Oh yes, before I write my blogs, I always talk about them before I write. I was in my bookshop, where I have purchased numerous books,usually non fiction like The Kite Flier. Well the dear lady who runs the shop, on hearing my ideas, suddenly said ' No one should come here, except through the correct channels. Whow, then 'You may leave now Mr Mason' and when I at 78 was a bit slow to move she said it again. Oh dear I thought, paranoia may the wrong word, but pretty close. I have found another shop in another town, more receptive to listening to lateral thinking.
PIRACY is a little easier to write about, as everyone likes a good Pirate story. Here we will start with the perpertrators. Numero uno the Prime Minister we have talked about and his take on the boat people, very right wing like his mentor the previous liberal one kicked out a few years agoe by an ex journalist, one could almost see the old fello sitting on the PM's and whispering in his ear, maybe that's why he is begining to weigh his words---is he listening?.
The Immigration minister is one of a kind, now let me see. Ah yes Robspierre comes to mind and with an attack dog on a invisible lease, in fact a doberman kind of fello-- hard and fearless. Now then, Captain Kidd was initially sent out plunder foreign vessels in this and other seas. The good Captain got to like it and went into business on his own plus his crew. The Brits Hung him high, as a Pirate.
As an aside I remember meeting a young man, sorry we were both young, who told me he was trying to set up a recording studio, as the American and British recording companies blocked him out. He had found an old banana warehouse he thought suitable, looked ok to me, we had a drink, off he went to set up and I to Barbados. His company became Virgin records--- He did well .
To serious stuff and for those who read my blog Vladimir Putin and Modern Russia,I talked about Greenpeace and their silly antics trying to board an Exploratory Oil rig in the Artic. At first I believe they were charged with Piracy, very near the definition. How fortunately they were to have it changed to a lesser count.
Remember the Bounty - Captain Bligh and the mutainy lead by Mr Christian. They put the Captain and others on a shore or life boat and said go. Well the good Captain knew all about the Ocean currents from the work of Lord Anson and his voyage around the World on HMS Centurion returning 1744. He had plundered ships of Spain and in particular the Manila Galleon. All for their logs and strategic members of the crew. Probably chucked the rest n the sea. Anyway showed Blyth, Cook etc the way round the pacific. Piracy, well Government instructed, all pretty Ho Ho--- up and at them lads.
The here a now and I am still thinking about my Alta literature hero Winston Church as First Lord of Admiralty and a memory of standing on Observatory Hill Greenwich,with my London historian expert brother in law and we observed an helicopter landing across the river Thames -- Probably the Admiral's coming in for lunch!. That great man would dictate the next bit with great clarity.
Just imagine the scene in Australia,its Prime Mister, soon to have an ex Army General and Head of Military as Australia,s constitutional head or Govenor General, representing the British Crown,fearlessly pursuing misguided goals. Its Immigration Minister with his Army General in tow, vowing to obey the master at all costs (literally) to turn the boats back, well, at least the Minster is -------
Out in the open sea between Australia and Indonesia is a passenger ship (not a Sea Princess). On board are fare paying passengers with a Captain and crew, proceding in the general direction of Australia or if not south may be west and not interferring with anyone. In the area it is being watched, not from a Brimston Hill, but from a rather enspensive surveylance aircraft. The vessel is percieved to be an intruder with illegal intent. A signal goes out to a Warship and or a lesser vessel to intercept.
The warship stands by, sending one or two fast boats- armed personnel- to stop,search and remove the passengers and crew to the warship.They deal with the vessel in manner I do not know, probably sinking. Of late with the orders of the Australian government, the passengers and crew are transferred to a orange lifeboat with sufficient fuel to reach Indonesian waters. Should they be a good distance from any Indonesian island , then it has been shown, they are towed there. On occasion the tow ship going into sovereign territory and as the navy know exactly where they are at any one time, they must have had clearance to do so by Australia.
Is this Piracy on Australia's part, in my opinion it is. Piracy is Piracy by any other name is Piracy. You my dear readers must come to your own conclusions.
PUNISHMENT. This section is the most disturbing and has kept me awaking many nights, trying to work out how to say it right. We are placing Asylum seekers, who have already gone through hell, in a situation of Demi-Rendition. I wish I had a better description. Both PNG and Nauru are not conducive places to process human beings. Razor wire; part building part tent acommodation; terrible climate wet and insect infested with armed guards and light surveilence constantly. To boot, the locals are not pleased they are on their islands. The poor wretches are expected to asccept waiting for months and maybe years for Australia to say hello. Yes it is Demi-Rendition by 'Situation'. A better description would be most welcome. Churchill wou;ld have been able to help me I am certain. A terrible Punishment by Paranoid people, who one day will have to answer to their maker or before to higher authority--- My opinion of course.
I will end this story with some words I wrote when I ran a little Spiritual Centre some years agoe. Once a month people of all ages, of all religions or of no religion at all, would gather at a community hall for freindship; healing and solice from their outside world. We would sing songs like 'Love Conquers Everthing',Prayers theirs and mine; healing and meditations.
I would start off the meeting, with about a minute of silence, so that we could come together as one. For the end I wrote few words for us all to send out as a message of Hope; Love; and Understanding.
HOPE- For all those people whose circumstances are so much worse than ours. In the same way, as other people messaged us,when we were down.
LOVE- To all who have never known love and are desparately searching for-maybe-just one word from us, we who are so fortunate to know and experience its life giving power.
UNDERSTANDING- To endeavour to understand, the ways, apprehensions, faiths,cultures and ideas of others.
We can do this, hopefully, not just today, but at all times.

Until we actually meet them we don't know if they; are Doctors;Dentists;Engineers at all levels;electronic experts of all kinds, the list is long. What I do know is that they seek our help and as Pope Francis recently said, in words to the effect - We should welcome all people risking life and limb to reach the shores of the free and should be treated as Immigrants. Good words I believe.
Oh how I wish I was a writer like good old Winston Churchill, who was the master of the written word. Then I would be able to write this blog concisely and to the point and to get my message through to all concerned. Here goes and I start off with my definitions of the words Paranoia; Piracy and Punishment and fit in the aspirations and actions of those people responsible for what they call Border Security.
Paranoia. - A chronic mental derangement, characterised by systemised delusions, conditioned by numerous factors including the power of suggestion or perception.
Piracy. - Any Plunder; Robbery or interference on the high seas, by an armed ship or vessel and its personnel, which takes takes the property or personnel of another ship or vessel.
Punishment - To inflict a penalty on; to castigate and cause suffering on a person or persons, known and unknown for a perceived offence of any kind.
PARANOIA is difficult one to define isn't it, as mental problems always are. In the Australian government case I refer to its Prime Ministers inability to get away from the word 'Illegal' and the words 'Stop the boats' at any cost it would seem and by golly the money spent on Navy vessels and military and civil personnel must be enormous. I wish I could cost it out at $ per hour per refugee.
Over and over again they say 'No one coming by sea will be allowed to enter Australia', where I assume they mean without a visa. They do not care who they are or what they are and what they could do for this country. How they expect anyone is a war zone or tyranny could get to a Consulate, queue up and apply for a visa etc,defies me. Oh yes, before I write my blogs, I always talk about them before I write. I was in my bookshop, where I have purchased numerous books,usually non fiction like The Kite Flier. Well the dear lady who runs the shop, on hearing my ideas, suddenly said ' No one should come here, except through the correct channels. Whow, then 'You may leave now Mr Mason' and when I at 78 was a bit slow to move she said it again. Oh dear I thought, paranoia may the wrong word, but pretty close. I have found another shop in another town, more receptive to listening to lateral thinking.
PIRACY is a little easier to write about, as everyone likes a good Pirate story. Here we will start with the perpertrators. Numero uno the Prime Minister we have talked about and his take on the boat people, very right wing like his mentor the previous liberal one kicked out a few years agoe by an ex journalist, one could almost see the old fello sitting on the PM's and whispering in his ear, maybe that's why he is begining to weigh his words---is he listening?.

President Vladimir Putin and Modern Russia
May I say to all people - I wish you a very Pleasant Safe and Reconcilable 2014, where the word
True (truth) is prevalent in all things dear to each one of us.My twitter @MalcolmEMason says it all "Welcome to 2014,at last. 14 divisible by the fourth prime number 7. The result 2, the first prime number, how exciting to 'thinktrue'.
Russia is currently in a kind of spotlight, with the winter Olympics in Sochi in February and we all wish that event, all the best for a successful and enjoyable outcome. Its President, Vladimir Puti in reality, I believe, is a very upbeat and media aware man. He steers the Modern Russia in a percieved progressive manner, in a political; Economic and Resourceful way.
My goodness they must have actually read my Essay. Think-Earth- The Finite Planet and Matters Relating, which I sent to The good President in 2011.I called for, placing caps on 'Extraction Quantities per Unit of Time' for all Finite Resources and gave Targets to achieve. Marvelous, right now there appears to be restrictions on the extraction and exporting of 'Amber' . I lost my small piece and cannot replace it.
On Amber of course there remains the mistery of the "Amber Room", replaced we gather, but the original not found. A little while agoe, restrictions were placed on grain exports, presumably to secure seed retention, due to a bad harvests as the result of drought I think. Oil and Gas are going the same way -Good news.
Now where was I, ah yes, The Modern Russia its President and of course the Russian Government, drew media attention Worldwide, with the three amnesty's. One a Punk Rock group and the other an Enviromental Group and an ex Oil and Gas man.
1. The ex Oil and Gas man imprisoned for Tax evasion, was released and he quickly exited Russia for Germany and on to Switzerland ( now thats interesting in itself). Modern Russia let him go, how relieved he must be in 2014.
2. Pussy Riot - To young ladies, who really made a specticle of themselves, in a Church in Moscow - Out now and still being rude with silly ideas. Russia may not be a devout religious country, but it is considered bad from to do silly stunts in a place of worship-- They were very lucky that they live in a Modern Russia. with a chap like President Putin to give them an amnesty.
3. Green Peace - Here we must consider the possible ramifications for any protest group anywhere in the World.
All the crew of the boat that went to close to an Oil rig in the artic circle are now free and home - how lucky they were with a modern Russia and its President.
I say often. Opinion is free and Hope is eternal, so it is here and these opinions are mine only.
As with the BP exploratory rig in the Gulf of Mexico which experienced a major blow out in very deep water, the Russian rig is like 'Ship' at sea or an 'Aircraft' on the ground or aloft. They have a Captain/Pilot/Rig Master, who is in total command of of the personnel and equipment being operated, it is this persons responsibility totally.
Should that person consider that they are threatened with shall we say 'Nefarious Intent' putting personnel and equipment in danger, then it is correct that police or military assistance, be called for. Cleary this was the case with the Greenpeace action of approaching the rig without permission and attempting board in what I suppose was international waters.
Greenpeace activists may have considered they were simply taking direct personal action, BUT they must have known the law of the sea and air as they had done a similar thing in the Pacific with their Nuclear protests by entering restricted areas putting equipoment and lives at risk. The sinking of the Rainbow Warrior in Auckland harbour was the result.
OK, the Modern Russia and its President - who by the way is no soft touch and has a loft of reforms on prisons and say people rights,to address- Removed Greenpeace and its vessel from the area, with the quick amnesty and release of these silly people. Yes a very modern Russia--excellent
Lucky indeed are the Greenpeace personnel=== Listen and learn. Never ever touch other peoples property without permission.
Now here comes my HOPE. I hope President Vladimir Puti and Modern Russia, Can see its way clear to improving its penal system, its rights to free expression and most of all on the international scene with help to solve the terrible problem of Syria and the terrible fighting going on there.
To end this blog I would like to wish every success for the Winter Olympics in SOCHI. May they pass peacefully and be enjoyment to all.

A Journey into Darkness
Our time at our fourty acre property in a State Forest, along a stretch of pristine fresh water river, is coming to an end. Daughter and Son and most of their children are coming for Christmas, after their parties and school outings, all quite a way from here.
Before they came Patricia and I decided that we must also go out and celibrate ourselves and thus started an extraordinary journey into an unexpected world of Dark Theatre - In the dark literally.
This is my story, so please,if you will, imagine you are walking down a small town street and there in a window is an almost frightening poster, advertising a local Theatres adaptation of Charles Dickens 'A Christmas Carol' I hesitated, but Patricia purchased the tickets anyway and said it would be a nice outing. On Saturday 14 December 2013 at aroun d 7.30 my 'Journey into Darkness' began.

As with our little outings at our town at the mouth of the River Clyde before it hits the Tasman Sea, we had a lite meal of Fish Chips and Salad plus a glass of wine and we were off to the Theatre.
It began with people dressed as Dickens would have known well, singing carols. It was odd because they sounded rather wooden, without any sign of joy. They came into the venue and we all ventured to our seats, having said hello to freinds and aqaintances.
The lights went out to very very dim stage, made up of three small very lowly lit sets with black fly net in front of each one. Ha I thought the figure THREE , the prime number with a 'beginning', 'middle' and 'end' as the life Before; Present and Future of Dickens classic tale. Any moment now I thought the Spot lights would go on one of the sets and the nets would go up, but this was not to be. The first was Scooge sitting at a desk and Hum- Bug in a dimly lit set ,behind a black fly net screen.
The two hours was spent mostly in the dark with dim lit three sets. The occasional bright spots with "Lighting" to traditional theatre standards was Ok. What was the problem or was it me, just maybe it was Briilliant and possibly Avant-Garde, suitable for the Edinburgh fringe theatre or a New York alternative audiance.
I just could not get rid of the horrible feeling of a Journey into Darkness and a too close a look unto a very disturbed mind or minds or theatre. I have tried to clear the feeling, but it follows me everywhere.
This a short blog for Christmas 2013. O'Dear 13 another Prime and the notoriously unlucky number and for many, was linked to the 13 who sat at the Last Supper. Starting medieval times I believe.
I am sure I will cheer up on the birthday of the year---------Happy Christmas.

The lights went out to very very dim stage, made up of three small very lowly lit sets with black fly net in front of each one. Ha I thought the figure THREE , the prime number with a 'beginning', 'middle' and 'end' as the life Before; Present and Future of Dickens classic tale. Any moment now I thought the Spot lights would go on one of the sets and the nets would go up, but this was not to be. The first was Scooge sitting at a desk and Hum- Bug in a dimly lit set ,behind a black fly net screen.
The two hours was spent mostly in the dark with dim lit three sets. The occasional bright spots with "Lighting" to traditional theatre standards was Ok. What was the problem or was it me, just maybe it was Briilliant and possibly Avant-Garde, suitable for the Edinburgh fringe theatre or a New York alternative audiance.
I just could not get rid of the horrible feeling of a Journey into Darkness and a too close a look unto a very disturbed mind or minds or theatre. I have tried to clear the feeling, but it follows me everywhere.
This a short blog for Christmas 2013. O'Dear 13 another Prime and the notoriously unlucky number and for many, was linked to the 13 who sat at the Last Supper. Starting medieval times I believe.
I am sure I will cheer up on the birthday of the year---------Happy Christmas.
